Staff & Leadership

Rev. Daryl Sam is a husband, father of three adult children, and the Lead Pastor of Kiel Alliance Church.

Daryl comes to us with 35 years of pastoral ministry experience in Canada and The Principality of Monaco.  He is motivated by a desire to see the Church grow in balanced and coordinated ways, to see the next generation engaged in church-life, to see those on the margins at the center of the Church’s attention, and to see people’s lives transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.  “This is my life work: helping people understand and respond to this message.” – Ephesians 3:7 (MSG)

Daryl and Birgit are both accomplished musicians who love to read, craft, and travel.  They are looking forward to getting established into public life here in Kiel.  You will likely find them appreciating a hot coffee at a local café, enjoying a walk in the community, or engaged with attendees of Kiel Alliance Church.

Let the glory of Your name be the passion of the church, let the righteousness of God be a holy flame that burns, let the saving love of Christ be the measure of our lives.  We believe You’re all to us.” – Songwriter, Chris Tomlin

Hi!  I’m Joost Sanders, Youth Director here at Kiel Alliance Church.

Most of my work is done in the Kiel Youth Center which is an extension of KAC. I have a love for youth and those young at heart.  I enjoy connecting with students and showing them a Christian way of living.  This is not just for Sundays, but for every day.  We reach out and dive deep into the Word on a daily basis.

I was born and raised in the city of Helmond, The Netherlands, then moved to the USA where I fell in love with the country, culture, and the people here.  I’ve been married since 2012 to my lovely wife, Anna, and have 2 boys, Jeb and Max.  We have a hobby farm where we raise all our own meat and vegetables.  I enjoy playing sports, chess, farming, being in nature, music, and so much more. Besides salvation, life is the greatest gift God has given me. I’m blessed beyond measure!

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV)

Tabitha Walsdorf is the Director of Kiel Alliance Church’s Children’s Ministry, also known as Discovery Land.

It has been Tabitha’s life’s calling to help children and families grow.  She has been serving families for the past 22 years, including taking leadership positions in daycares, afterschool programs, and in the Kiel Area School District as a Special Education teacher. For the past 7 years, she has been homeschooling her four children alongside her husband, Beau.  Tabitha and Beau are long time Kiel community members, who both graduated from Kiel High School.  They feel honored to continue to serve our community through Kiel Alliance Church.

Tabitha’s passion comes from her personal journey and relationship with our Savior.  It inspires her to provide Biblical experiences that assist children in seeing God’s Word alive today.  God’s Word tells us in Proverbs 22:6 to… “train children in the way they should go; when they grow old, they won’t depart from it.”

With the assistance of Jessica Hartenberger and all the volunteer leaders, KAC’s Children’s Ministry programs are thriving.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

My name is Sara Rempel, and I am the Office Administrator at Kiel Alliance Church.

I work part-time and have been in this position since 2015. I manage the day-to-day operations of the church which includes everything from fielding questions to maintaining the church records.  I work closely with Pastor Daryl, our Elders and the KAC Governing Board.  I love working behind the scenes helping everything run smoothly.

I have been married to my husband John for over 30 years. As we navigate our time of transition to an empty nest, we are loving this season as we observe how God is shaping our two young adults.

One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 40:31, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (NIV)
